It may be redundant to claim that it was a fan of the show, who actually discovered the asteroid. And the asteroid, with cataclysmic intentions, is heading towards the little blue planet that we call home!!

Actor Brian J. Smith is all set to team up with Robert Patrick, for the movie version of the popular video game ‘Red Faction’.

Although it’s no surprise, the cancellations of “Stargate Universe” and “The Good Guys” are only made official now. After weeks of speculation, Syfy announced that it won’t order a third season of “SGU”. As for “The Good Guys”, a Fox TV Studios spokeswoman has just confirmed the axing to Dfw.com.
The second season of “SGU” which consists of 10 episodes will air as the series’ last in Spring. “SGU” is the third “Stargate” franchise which is canceled after “Stargate SG-1″ and “Stargate Atlantis“. Syfy is keeping “Warehouse 13“, “Eureka” and “Haven” in addition to premiering “Being Human“.
The network had previously also ended “Battlestar Galactica” prequel “Caprica” and announced a new project called “Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome”. The new project focuses on the early years of William Adama and takes place in the 10th year of the first Cylon war.
Meanwhile, “Good Guys” is not returning for a second season after a series of low rating. It debuted last Spring with 4.93 million viewers but the number declined down to 3.42 million on Friday nights. The 20th and last episode of the cop dramedy aired on December 10.
Janis Burklund of the Dallas Film Commission had another way to put it. “The Good Guys wasn’t canceled,” she wrote on Facebook. “They completed and aired all the episodes that were ordered. Unfortunately it appears Fox isn’t going to order a second season. May seem like the same thing, but it’s not. Still bummed regardless of course.”

The working title for the next Stargate SG-1 movie has been revealed. Stargate: Revolution will reunite the cast of the long-running show, including former lead Richard Dean Anderson.
The title has announced at Stargate writer-producer Joseph Mallozzi’s blog.
Revolution will be the third DVD movie for the SG-1 team — if it gets made, that is. After reportedly giving the production a green light this past spring (story), MGM placed it back in drydocks along with the Atlantis movie, Stargate: Extinction.
As of last spring, the intention was to shoot one or both of the movies this fall, with the SG-1 film apparently taking priority in the production schedule. But continuing economic pressures have prevented MGM from committing just yet (story).
Stargate: The Ark of Truth and Stargate: Continuum filmed in 2007 and were released in 2008.
The script for the SG-1 movie has been written by Brad Wright and Carl Binder, who are currently serving as executive producers on Stargate Universe, with a story reportedly set sometime between Continuum and the start of SGU. Wright told fans at this year’s Vancouver Stargate convention that “I had a story idea that really worked with O’Neill. And it’s not just his character, by any means. It’s a Stargate story that brings O’Neill back in a big way.”
